Exercise, eat well, take holidays, tell your mum you love her and get a business health check.

I know a business health check doesn’t sound like the most exciting way to spend your Friday, but like any health check, you will walk away understanding the things you need do for your business to help it to thrive. A good business health check is a diagnostic tool, and when done correctly, it will identify any red flags looming on the horizon as well as set short and long term goals for your business. It’s an analysis of the health of your current business and the planning of how you will manage the health of your business moving forward.

What does a business health check involve?

You never know what might be uncovered in a business health check, and you don’t need to be struggling as a business to benefit from one. Just like a checkup with your doctor, you might discover things that don’t meet the eye are what need attention — your blood pressure is low, your cholesterol is high — in the same way that you might discover your cash flow projection is wrong or your KPIs need review.

At Trinity Accountants, we assess everything — not just your books. We have a team of 20+ people, each that are specalised in different areas. We treat your business, as if it’s our own to create strong long-term plans for your future.

We do the normal accounting stuff:

  • Cash flow management and any debt management
  • Pricing review — we will consider pricing structures and identify areas for improvement
  • A cost saving review — how we can get more out of what you are currently spending
  • An overview of mandatory compliance (BAS statements and returns, Pay as You Go) is run to ensure you are up to date with mandatory reporting
  • A budget review mixed with performance analysis
  • Key Performance Indicators to ensure that your measuring and reporting standards are crystal clear.

First, we pour a pot of coffee and we get to know you. Then we get to know your business, your vision for your business, your pain points, your highlights and we start to think about your next steps.

  • Marketing – how does your business appear to the outside world; how do clients perceive your business.
  • Who are your clients? Are you reaching the right audience?
  • Your staff – who is on the team? How is the team performing?
  • What’s keeping you up at night?
  • Is your business where you thought it would be today? If yes, well let’s take it to the next level. If no, well, let’s find you a solution.
